I don't know what it is, but I like the images from my E-PL1 better than those from the E-PL5. (The E-PL5 is off to Olympus' Repair in Dallas, TX, for replacement of the real control wheel which startt to get stuttering and erratic readouts.) I think the Olympus 14-42 II which I bought used (came with a kit) from a member of the m843 forum a couple of years ago) is a terrific lens.
