_MG_7278 Fancy Trim

At the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center, (FENCE) Tryon, North Carolina
I have been informed by an experienced rider that horses are trimmed this way to keep them from overheating when they are active. They are kept blanketed in the cold weather.

Wow, I have never seen a horse trimmed this way, very unusual.

Beautiful horse, beautiful shot. You must have been pretty close to get this shot at 100mm.

Wonderful capture, but why was the horse cut this way?

What an unusual two-tone fur on this horse. Looks like it has been sheared?
