Just about impossible not to have blown out highlight areas + detail in shadow areas when subject was backlit by strong rising early morning sun...but I was fascinated by the translucent ears and hairs, lit by the sun. I exposed for detail in the face, knowing what the outcome would be because the preview you get in the EVF so acurately gives you a representation of the final image...not so with the Sony DSC F717 which shows pictures much lighter than they actually are! I really trust the EVF of the 2100. White balance was cloudy because I forgot to change it...but I took out excess yellow with a Hue adjustment....and then I tried to replace the background.
