Learning Focus and Metering Mode Settings

Have been watching Mark Galer's Sony Alpha Videos on YouTube and his latest has taught me a lot. Have been experimenting with a focus setting of Flexible Spot L and Metering Mode Spot Large, while working with my Canon F/4L USM and Sigma MC-11 Adapter and have had great success.
