You chose to tell the story of the coming of dawn for the photographer, and use scale incongruity and abstraction to make it work. I used a similar subject to tell a different story athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/75091211 -- my photographer is a nonconformist, and passes on the dawn itself to shoot its effect the vast landscape. Both pictures tell their stories well.
