Black and white works well here once again. The black boots look more brutal because of it, and the warmth that color would have given to the drawing on the ground is sucked right out of the image.

I see an image here ripe with interpretation, and a strong statement with the boots nearly missing Ms. Liberty's face, in light of recent events.
