For me, this is the most evocative image in this gallery. It goes well beyond simply describing the subject, and instead offers us food for thought. You use reflection here to merge two images into one-- an overlay of market products provides a stunning a setting for a couple taking a shopping break. They are surrounded yet utterly detached from the products -- they seem to float within their own space, oblivious to the mundane market setting that drifts around them. A rectangle of sun-struck floor creates a diagonal panel that defines their space, and that diagonal is rhythmically echoed in turn by the triangular structure of the chairs. The light is superb, evoking a Hopper-like mood. This image functions as a dream, and will remain in my mind as one my favorite Iris-esques....
