There are more bicycles in Amsterdam than permanent residents. With its narrow streets and canals, too few and expensive parking spaces, and single, one lane only traffic mazes, Amsterdam is a very car unfriendly city. Hence, the bicycle is the most logical form of transportation......and no one wears a helmet!!
