Wonderful! All the more stunning through your use of B&W.

I join in the praise. This is just beautiful. The various shades of black and white are dramatic

I join in the praise for this image - It is beautiful. I love the way the foreground road sweeps the eye into the landscape. There is also a wonderful balance here even with the road to one side. Really a wonderful and beautiful image.

A beautiful rendering of road, space, spires and clouds, a landscape cloaked in mystery and time.
I cherish your abstracted view -- my own approach to the same subject stresses the same abstracted road, running both ways, as a metaphor for Navajo history, (which you commented on athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/119661839 ) I use the old truck in my foreground to enhance scale, while you use the sweeping scale of both road and spires in your own version to point towards the clouds and create the study in extreme contrast as Dave notes in his comment here.

The exposure is amazing. I think some would have considered the extreme range of brightness to great to create compelling image. You've made the extremes work to make this an outstanding photograph.

stunning shot! A well lit road to the dark secrets of the valley. Super composition and I like the monochromatic effect here which really shows off the contrast.
