Havana: A Portrait of A People

When asked "what was the best part of your trip to Cuba?", the answer is simple: The People.
The Cuban people are survivors. Despite their poverty and living conditions, they are, for the most part, a warm, friendly, positive, upbeat, inviting, fun-loving people who are receptive to Americans (despite our lingering embargo) and to the interminable clicks of our cameras. My thanks to them.

This is a wonderful gallery showing the various "faces" of Cuba. Each face tells a story and each story has a face. I am a sucker for the black and whites which are quite dramatic.

Absolutely, the best yet! I love these intimate and slice-of-life portraits of real people. I can feel his Exhaustion and Entrancing's exuberance but Gossip Time shows the spirit of the people in a particularly charming and humanistic way. These photos really do look professional!

The portraits are brilliant. Love the balconies and the patina of the buildings in Gossip Time, Neighborhood Watch, and Early Morning. Captions are back and add to the photographs a lot. I think the people represented run the gamut from the pregnant girl with the long, green nails to the elderly men and women. Really enjoyed them!!

Let me be the first to congratulate you on such a fine portrait gallery! People shots I think are definitely your strong suit by far! You have the knack of capturing a natural moment of what's happening, and describe the person(s) you are portraying. No time right now to comment individually on your images but I'll be back! Again, a fine job! It leaves me wanting more!
