This little cemetery fascinates me. It's located on Hwy 250 in Pleasant Grove, Colerain Twp, Belmont County, Ohio. My husband's family has been in that area for over 200 years. It's a very rural and pastoral area - beautiful with rolling hills. The cemetery is right under the eyes - yet almost invisible. It's located right on the highway but can't be seen from the highway. There is no sign. There is no parking. The people buried here appear by my research to be mostly related in some way. Many are related to my husband. Although the cemetery is maintained with mowing, it's sadly deteriorating and more and more headstones are falling. The land appears to move at will and the graves have swayed with the land. It can almost be dizzying looking at the many different angles that the graves have leaned. Although I'm not directly related to any of the people buried in this cemetery, it has really gotten into my heart. I've done a lot of research on the families buried here.
