The Autumn scenery in Colorado is spectacular with the quaking glowing aspens - mostly golden but sometimes with orange and red hints. There's definitely "gold in them thar hills"! It's breathtaking to see the many radiant bursts of color. These pics also show how the changing light conditions can greatly affect the appearances. Colorado weather can change very quickly and storms can come suddenly. Sometimes the sun shines even while the sky turns black. Some of these pictures were taken during such a storm and the aspens lit up with the most brilliant color I've ever seen on them! It was awesome! Shade can add nuances as well.
