Tri-Cities ACCS G-Class Hydroplanes 2006

ACCS G-Class Hydroplane races held in Tri-Cities, Washington July 28 to 30, 2006. A milestone was reached with 6 boats showing up to race and race they did. Unfortunately the G-17 was destroyed in a crash reminiscent of a year ago and the G-24 had a major fire but no one was seriously hurt and the future of the ACCS G-Class and the ULHRA looks good.

The "G" boats eventually evolved into a group known as GPW (Grand Prix West). The grand prix boats are a class of super charged boats that are very active presently. There are several factions but the GPW race mostly on the west coast (Washington state, San Diego) and in 2017 will also race in Madison and Evansville IN and possible Arizona.
