Firebird Lake Phoenix/Chandler, Arizona. April 23,24 and 25 2010. The phrase Earth, Wind and Fire best describes the 2010 races. There was earth (in the form of blowing sand), wind (over 25 mph with guests up to 50 mph) and fire (fire on the water-which is what top fuel drag boats sometimes do when attempting to reach speeds in excess of 260 mph!). Overall it was a good race, even though the weather was cooler the action on the water was hot. Hydroplanes (aka circle boats), drag boats, and Crackers put on quite a show. Lots of photos to share. Can not wait till next year to do it again.
