Wow John you have become quite a photographer. Your vacation destination was beautiful. You have captured the most beatiful images, especially the fire dancers and I for the life of me could not fiqure hoe you got down and out of the sink hole, now I see. Vincenzo enjoyed the Thunderbird and blue angel pictures. I think this will be his favorite place to see. Take care, tell the family I said Hello. I miss you and hope to see you soon. It was nice to see what you have been upto with the pictures.

Hello John, we made it back to Edisto safe. Long trip we'll have to tell you about. Your photos are great! Much easier to see on my laptop versus the smaller version on the hard drive. Gosh, wish you could come to Edisto to take some pics for our new website! Let me know if you can fit another trip into your schedule. It was a pleasure meeting you and we hope to stay in contact.
Muchos Gracias! Gina & Mark

We're tired of all this old crap!! Where are the new cruise pictures? Team Family Law
Karen 02-Sep-2003 16:51
John - you have a good eye for perspective and color - I like your ocean pictures the best. Try going closer to the beach and take some tidepool pictures - shells, starfish, rocks, birds, craggy cliffs, etc. And most important, have fun!
This is an interesting website to view samplings of digital photos from different people and how they view their world. Thanks for sharing yours...K.

Hi John,
You visited my galleries and asked about the borders. First, your galleries are coming along nicely and I see that you are enjoying your 717! I especially liked your Sunflowers and your IRs. I am very fond of both and I just did a Sunflower gallery too! One suggestion for you to try... try using a tripod with your 717 and try some iris shots without the flash just for fun. It's nice to see the various lighting changes.

Borders...I do them in PhotoShop 6.0. I make a duplicate layer then click ok. Now go to Image-> Canvas size and change the canvas size by adding an inch or two to each dimension. Click ok. Now go to Layers-> Layer Style and click on Drop Shadow. I use 50% opacity, 140 degrees, then 10, 0, 7 for the other settings. Click ok. Now go to
Image-> Image size and reduce the pic to 700x___ or whatever size you want for pbase. You will see that the drop shadow shows up more after you reduce the image size. Hope this helps...leave a note on my pbase gallery if you have any questions about it.
