Posting this gallery is a difficult decision. While trying best to protect the privacy of those photographed, the facial expressions of some do add much to the message that these are real people out there. Like all big cities, Hong Kong has its share of forbidden trades and forgotten souls. Turning our faces the other way do not make them disappear. They too are facts of life in Hong Kong. They too are realities.

Dear Insane Galleries,
I was moved by your pictures as I am from San Francisco where there is are alot of good people under the stigma name of "Homeless" or "Mentally Ill". The institutions set up to help these citizens in the US do not use the term "Insane" or really even "beggars". They call it "panhandling" and the common phrase is "Spare Change?".
Getting away from words, I also take pictures but do to my own housing and money problems I have had to leave most of the behind, lost in the wake of my own condition.
I miss my old buddies and just follow the herd nowadays, and I am not proud of it. Can you help?
