Fruit Flies and Peacock Flies, Family Tephritidae

The members of this family are similar to those of another, better known family of fruit flies: Drosophilidae, which includes
Drosophila melagonaster, the common fruit fly that you bring home with fruit and that is widely used in science for genetics experiments.
