Bear's Foot Sanicle, Sanicula arctopoides
CalPhotos uses the folksy name Footsteps-of-Spring; while the name "bear's foot" is no more
descriptive than "footsteps of spring", it matches the species epithet, so I will use that.
Sanicula arctopoides, Arctopoides = like a bear's foot.
Tiny, five-petaled flowers in button-shaped clusters. Sonoma Coast, near Gualala.
An interesting rosette of yellow clusters, with a pair of bugs (Hemiptera) working the flowers.
