Scathophaga stercoraria
"Scato" = dung, “phaga" = eat (both Greek), so the family is named The Dungeaters, referring to the fact that the larvae of many
species eat dung; however, that’s just the larvae, and not all species. The adults feed on other things including pollen and nectar.
“Sterco” in the species name also means dung, this one in Latin.
