Genus Euthamia: Grass-leaved Goldenrods. A yellow composite that resembles a Senecio except: the involucre
bracts, or phyllaries, do not have black tips; also, most Senecio do not have narrow, linear leaves like this one.
Etymology: Euthamia = Greek "well-crowded," referring to the dense inflorescence; occidentalis" Western.
