Woolly-headed Lessingia, Lessingia hololeuca
An odd composite that looks like an Epilobium. Some specimens are ground spreaders, others upright to about ten inches.
Note: CalPhotos lists a "Crystal Springs" species of this plant, L. arachnoidea, but that one has also
been treated as a subspecies of L hololeuca. These specimens were found off Caņada Road in the Crystal
Springs area; this is also technically within Edgewood Preserve, and Corelli treats only L. hololeuca.
