Not sure about this Bush Mallow -- also resembles M fremontii.

Habitat Santa Cruz Mtns, chaparral.

Genus name derived from the Greek malakos, "soft," and thamnos, "shrub."
Species name: fascicled = clustered in bunches, referring to both the leaves and flowers.
