Garden Rosemary, Rosmarinus oficinalis

Escaped garden Rosemary, Rosmarinus oficinalis. Family Lamiaceae.
Plant about 2 to 2.5 ft tall, with pale blue typical mint flowers.

The name rosemary has nothing to do with roses or Mary's: it derives from the
Latin name rosmarinus, which is from "dew" (ros) and "sea" (marinus), or "dew
of the sea" — apparently because it is frequently found growing near the sea.

Several specimens found in one area on a ridge near Horseshoe Lake.
