Rattlesnake Grass

Two species, Briza major and Briza minor. Edgewood, but common throughout the foothills.

Here the plant is going to seed, a phase that reveals its resemblance to a rattler's tail.

Corelli labels them as Big/Small Quaking Grass. Both are invasive species; cannot be sure which this is.
