Wood-boring Beetles, mating

Wood-boring Beetles of Family Buprestidae, Genus Anthaxia, sp.

Mating in Hawksbeard, Crepis sp.

Adults feed on pollen (?) and mate in flowers. Eggs are
laid on specific trees; the larvae burrow under bark and
eat wood, in some cases damaging or killing the host tree.
