Urticaceae: Nettle Family

          We have two species: Stinging Nettle, a native, occurs in the foothills and mountains, often in stream beds -- watch out: it really stings;
          the other nettle is a European exotic: Pellitory, which likes to grow in places where it can climb, such as freeway underpasses.
