Creeks provide special habitats for a number of creatures that are found nowhere else.
Plenty of good stuff to be posted here including:
Bugs: Boxelder nymphs (who knew they were aquatic?), Yellow Jackets, Syrphid and Peacock Flies,
Water Striders, a couple of dragonflies and some damsels; several spiders.
Plants: Willows and Red Alders are the principal stream habitat trees; smaller plants include
Hedge and Stinging Nettles, Pennyroyal, Horsetails and Durango Root.
