Brownlee Elevator "The Remains"

I know posting this image will hit home for Glenn (aka Vatorman).
Glenn and myself traveled all over Saskatchewan shooting Vators.
We had looked at each others sites but had never met...until one cold night
at the CPR station in Moose Jaw shooting the "Holiday Train".
We introduced ourselfs and the rest is history...This would be one of many
Vators, old homes and Ghost Towns that we would shoot together before he moved out East.
We really only spent about 6 months shooting but in that time you would think we were
old school buddies....Glenn's hoping to get back here to shoot and I'm trying to get
out East to shoot..At least we did shoot this before we lost it to fire.....
The coolest thing we did was our experimentation in "Painting With Light".
It was a "First" for both of us and we still work at it today.....

Hey Mike - thanks for this image and tribute. Still looking forward to a trip out west and some Saskatchewan style painting. Cheers - Vatorman

Agreed. It's always sad to see these old buildings go. You can never get the history back.

Cool story but I'm sad to see the elevator go! I'm sure you guys will be life long friends. Looks like you are still getting a little snow!!

Nice bit of Vatorman and Stobbs history. I hope you guys can meet up for some more painting adventures.

It is so sad to see an old elevator go down. They have such incredible character. By the way, is that a dusting of fresh snow I see? (We have a snowfall warning in effect for tonight for 20-25 cm!)

Super image. Excellent vantage point. It makes the crane look like a toy. Thanks for including the story too! "V"
