Old School New Camera

I had beat my brains all night and most of the morning thinking on what
I may post for the first image on PBase from the new D300.....
On the way home tonight it hit me...how about a shot from my old grade school.
Ya that's the ticket...I'll do it, and for a little extra fun let's do some
tone mapping and get it to look like or close to HDR....
I went from grade one to grade seven at Marion McVeety School, it was 1968
and this school has been around since 1957...and will be updated again this year.
It was cool to see the old place and talk to some of the young teachers.

Yeah....I stressed over the first shot too. Weird huh?

Best 10 years of your life spent here eh! ha

Curious angle but it worked nicely and made the shot. I may have to steal this technique as I suck at landscape. Thanks

Way to go! Great idea! LOL at Johb! This is an excellent shot and a great angle. I love it!

You get a new camera and the first shot you do is photoshopped? I could have sworn they made a FEW improvements since the D200. ;)

First posted image with the new camera - sweet. Sharp all over, great color. Looks like a "keeper" camera :-)

A shot of your history to make some history for your new camera! Nice! Gotta make the first one count! Sounds bizzare - but its sort of stressful!!!!

Excellent study of perspective.
