Pius The Cree Indian Chief was photographed by dad in the mid 60's with a Linhof 4 X 5 cut film camera and a Schneider 210mm lens. Lighting in the home studio was with a set of Ascor 100ws 4 channel light setup. This was before the wide spread use of umbrella's and softbox's, all the lighting was controlled by "barndoors" and homemade tinfoil reflectors over cardboard. This image was used all across Canada for a post card. The rights to use it for a post card only got him $25.00. This image later showed up on tee shirts, dad tracked the user and had all the shirts removed from the market. He never got a penny more for this image. I think this was some of his best work. I now own the rights to this image.
