White Light

The flare from the light cast on the front of the church made for an interesting in camera image.
I guess you could have created this in Photo Shop but doing it in the camera is so much easier and fun to boot.....
Getting the right perspective in the dark is a challenge all on its own without thinking how you will light it.
This took only one take to get it right.

Nikon D300 ,Tokina AT-X 116 Pro DX
421s f/5.6 at 11.0mm iso400 full exif

Is that a human figure in the windows of the tower? And how did you get the blueish lighting in the church windows? All in all an excellent piece of lightpainting.

Love the glow Mike. One of the things that I like about doing longer exposures in the dark is the wait to see if what you got is what you expected. Very nicely done.
