Excellent angle in this one, they'll need this artifact... voted!

Steve Sharp has a great point. Isn't there a historic preservation group around there? Seems a shame to tear down a very usable building. Great capture - especially the composition.

What a waste of an attractive building. Halifax is going through the same angst, developers wanting to knock down historic buildings so they can be replaced with modern abominations (can you see my bias?). I am never sure why these new buildings need to be in the historic down town! Anyway, enough of a rant - nice shot Mike.

What a shame - but what I don't understand is that you're not short of space in Canada, why do they need to remove one perfectly functional building before they can build another?

NOW where the heck are we supposed to go drinking when I come up there??

Cool shot. Too bad about the saloon. Developers are the same everywhere.

So I guess they are going ahead with the re-development plans - nice shot of history before it becomes history.
