I have a “real photo” framed of this chief. Was that a popular item to com across?

I found the pictures of the Moose Jaw Wild Animal Park so sad to look at. I use to be a zookeeper from 91-94.
Thank you for posting the pictures.

Hey Mike,

Like your shots of the CAT's. You have an interesting set of galleries - trains, cars, graineries, CAT's, etc. Some nice work. Just a question: how did you get on site to shoot the CAT's at work? Do you have any pull with your local CAT dealer? Anyway...nice images. I'll add you to my list of photogs I follow.

If you're so inclined, please check out my work at www.urbanindustrialimaging.com

Take care...

Good day Mike! I came across your photos of the Laing House in a web search and I must say that I am completely blown away by them! I found this house on a trip to Saskatchewan and instantly fell in love with it and the area! Seeing the inside of the house, I can only imagine what went on there. Your work is amazing! Take care! Just had to fill your guestbook with one more comment.
As I have already said. I knew your father from my work with the RCMP.
He would certainly be very proud of what you have accomplished here. He taught you well, and now you are teaching us all over again.

Hello Mike, We found your image
65386410.aJ7doyey.OldChurchOnTheHillKayvilleSK.jpg
on a search engine and we'd like to use it for a book cover. It's perfect.
It's a regional publication of poems and stories by a friend of mine John Walker.
We'd like to know what your fees may be for usage.
You can check out John's work at www.prairiedogmusic.com
If acceptable, you may email me a high resolution jpeg once we agree on an arrangement.

Mike, many thanks for collecting these photos. It's my mother's 92nd birthday and I pulled up Girvin as that is where she grew up. Her father was the Stationmaster there from about 1924 until they moved to Saskatoon. She recognized the Water Tower and the Anglican Church photos. A great opportunity to reminisce about her days living there. She thinks there may have been about 50 people there at that time. Thanks.

Hello Mike, thank you for the nice comment at my gallery! I've enjoyed perusing your images, I especially liked any related to the prairies, and of the old equipment - I mean the old cars and trucks and stuff, not you... or Ed... ;?)

Like your work. Myself, I just like to drive arround and shoot whatever comes to mind. Don't have any fancy camera's like you and some of the others do. But to get some of my shots, I have to go treking through the trees.Need something I can stuff in my pocket and not have to worry about getting hung up on anything.Still, your shots from what I've seen, they are good. Interesting to say the least.

Thanks for your comment on Tracks. It means a lot, especially after seeing your work here. Your galleries have a poetic feel to them... the colors, the subjects, and the composition are captured beautifully.

Mike,
I really enjoyed your site. I too am drawn to signs of rural decay; this may be, in part, from having spent many years on the prairies. You cover the topic very well.

Mike, I am drowning in nostalgia having spent a lot of time perusing your photos of Sask. grain elevators. As a tomboy of 8 or 9 years old, about 60 years ago, I spent a lot of time with a playmate hanging around an elevator managed by Mr. Archie Dean in Craik, Sask. He gave us free rein but kept an eye on us while we explored. I remember chewing on a handful of wheat until it turned gummy, and also, climbing right up to the top one day. I was thrilled by the view. Looking at the prairie grass in the photos I could almost smell the freshness of it and recall how wonderfully cool it was to lay down in. Good times! Thank you for all your great work. god bless!

To whom this may concern, did you know that I (Lito)have a lot of comments on Rod ostoski-space shuttle sts1 but it was deleted from yesterday July 11, 2006. I believe he couldn't take the critique I layed out for him so he deleted my comments.

HI Mike.
Thanks for the comment on my gallery. You have many great images as well. I always enjoy seeing other parts of the world throught the eyes of the people who live there. I loved the grain elevator collection. I was going to say that I bet the images shot with the D200 would be as good with another camera as well, but I guess it is true that the equipment and the artist compliment each other when both are excellent at what they do. The D200 images are really good. Well done!!
