November 18th 2013, on a night dive, I came across something I had never seen before. An Atlantic Partridge Tun was attacking and feeding on a Chocolate Chip Sea Cucumber. The sea cucumber was writhing and twisting itself around but having no luck dislodging the determined Tun. I watched in amazement at a such small creature attacking a much larger one and the sea cucumber seemed totally helpless against the onslaught. After several minutes of watching this I saw a Music Volute heading determinately in the direction of this action and thought for sure that it was going to join the Tun in dining on the sea cucumber. Much to my surprise the Music Volute attacked the Tun and a wresting match started between the two. The Volute was successful in disloding the Tun and the sea cucumber was spared. The two mollusks wrestled for a few more minutes but the Tun eventually freed itself and moved on away with the Volute following close behind as if to chase the Tun out of town.
