Chris, I agree 100% that it is a Cooper's. When comparing to a Sharp-shinned you will notice on the Cooper's that the tail is longer and the head larger, both of which can be easily seen in this photo. Those wings are just gorgeous.

Great shot; great view. dan's right, it's a cooper's; but very hard to tell Coopers from Sharp Shinned hawk. For future reference; Coopers have rounded tail; Sharpies have a slightly nitched tail. (Neither is rarely visible however). LL
