The large number of my recent PADs that are flowers is just an example of making hay while the sun shines. They're the best things available at the moment - and I'm too lazy to get in the car and look for alternatives.
This is another wide open aperture used to achieve selective focus. I included the white coneflower in the frame to play off the pink one for context and to establish an oblique implied line flowing through the image space in order to keep the image from being too static. However, I didn't want the white flower to detract from the main subject any more than necessary.
