Just above Big Creek, in the Frank Church River Of No Return Wilderness, Cabin Creek is one of several backcountry airstrips grandfathered into the Wilderness Act for use as access points. The strips are unobtrusive, and airplanes like the Cessna 180 are well suited to their use, offering access with minimal impact on the land.
