Jackson Sowers family ca 1899 - Sam and Clara's Wedding?

L-R Front: Nannie Jane Dehaven Sowers, (Andrew) Jackson Sowers, Mary Morrison Sowers, Nannie Sowers Black.
Rear: Will Sowers, Frank Sowers, Clara Walters Sowers, Samuel Sowers, William P. Black.
Picture ca 1899, maybe marriage of Sam and Clara (No wife for Frank and Nannie Sowers looks pregnant).

Samuel M. Sowers biography told: "Wel, I was there until the 25th day of January 1899, when I left one day for Clarion for Mis Clara Walters [Different version had her at her sister’s, Mrs. Arthur Morrison at Roseville]. I went that way and brought her along into Brookville to my sister Nannie Black at Litchtown. A question was asked. What kind of wood makes mothers? He wood and she wood. So we agreed and had a quiet wedding at W. P. Blacks house with no invitation except Reverent and Mrs. George B. Robison, then of Clarion, PA."

The incredible charm of old family photos…
One feels like knowing what these people thought in that very moment…
