Can It Be?

Louisiana

This is the egret I have followed from the beginning of her nest building, mating and eggs in the nest.
Today I sat for two hours and 150 shots to get this shot. Can that be a chick in the nest? A newly hatched chick over the weekend? I see an eye and a beak.
The nest is 20 feet off the ground and 20 feet out in the water so this is the closest I can get.

What a great shot, especially from so far away. Your patience was well rewarded! I love that little eye peeking through the sticks.

Fabulous! Love to see her success in that spikey haired little bird peeking out at you. Great shot Coleen.

I see it too! Congrats, Coleen and great shot. I'm not near a patience as you, I'll take 150 shots in five minuets!

Is she the other mom with the eggs you had on here. If so great observation. I'd say it lood like a chick to me.
