This is the egret I have followed from the beginning of her nest building, mating and eggs in the nest.
Today I sat for two hours and 150 shots to get this shot. Can that be a chick in the nest? A newly hatched chick over the weekend? I see an eye and a beak.
The nest is 20 feet off the ground and 20 feet out in the water so this is the closest I can get.
