In Florida, summer means rain. Thunderstorms are a regular event - almost daily, and almost like clockwork. As the summer heat and humidity both top 90, the thunderheads begin to build - sometimes from the ocean and sometimes from the swamps. By late afternoon, those storms build into towering monsters, and come through with thousands of lightning strikes, torrential rain, huge winds, and occasional hail. 15-30 minutes later, the storms have moved through, the sun comes out, and everything returns to normal. It's the summer storm pattern here in Florida!
