Troy, no need to apologize - It's difficult to see whether an image is cropped from a larger picy and we look at the detail in an image to give us clues. In this case there's just too much compressed detail to look good at this small size. I think I will crop and reprocess this though, as I think there is too much foreground.

Rod, No he didn't exactly say it was rubbish....but notice the "vector" - he'd love that! No-one said anything about John being headless - what do you think about that? :-D CJ

BTW, when I looked at it before I had just come back from the opthamologist and my eyes were dilated and was not focusing right.

I'm sorry CJ. I just thought I had looked at this earlier and it looked closer now than before - that's all. Seems like I've been doing a lot of that kind of stuff lately. I think I'm becoming senile and it's getting worse every day. Don't replace it because of my comment please. Detail is very good. You captured this at the right moment.

The power of the wind surely will need more than the power of a bow saw to clean up. -COAmature

Maybe it's the jpeg compression that robs this of the detail in the image. I'll see if I can find something else to replace this. CJ

Somehow the zooming in compresses the scene and robs this of some of the power of the saw and John's effort. BTW that little hand saw will cut through a six inch log like butter. We came home in the rain on tuesday night to a driveway clogged with downed treetops but me & the handsaw reduced the mess to a pile of sticks in about 2 hrs. This weekend I have to get to work on an even bigger pile on the garage. Ugh. -tv

Troy, I'm curious, why do you think this is cropped? This is probably the only picture I've ever posted that is NOT cropped at all, LOL! I stopped my car on the county road when I saw John out cutting the tree that had fallen across his driveway during the night and zoomed in on this scene. :-) CJ

Hi CJ. I see you cropped this a bit. Sure shows the power of wind. We experience that way too much in our area. Good shot!
