You put your left leg and your other left leg in
You put your left leg and your other left leg out
You put both your left legs in and you shake them all about....

Ah yes, the Hokey Pokey - which growing up near Scanton Pa -I heard over and over again.
Here is some trivia -- Shaker song Hinkum-Booby which had similar lyrics and was published in Edward Deming Andrews' A gift to be simple in 1940: (p.42)

I put my right hand in,
I put my right hand out,
I give my right hand a shake, shake shake
And I turn myself about.

Like a riverdancer: keeping an eye on the audience and letting the feet look after themselves!

awkward though when you've got four of them... including two left legs. :-)
