This is Walthamstow greyhound track.
This place has been a landmark building in East
London, since 1933.
It has been decided to close the track and build
homes on the site. I think its sad to see an old
art deco building destroyed.
It will be gone by August 2008.

Sacrelige! 'Stow is the most atmospheric track in the country, such a waste.

What a shame to see it go! Good photo journalism!

Such a shame and I want to travel up and capture its gloery very soon. It is the change in the gaming laws that have hastened its closure.

This is a great old building, Pat and you've captured it well! It's too bad that it will be demolished for new homes. That seems to be done all too often these days.

Great documentary Pat. It's so sad to see traditional landmarks being knocked
down in the name of progress. Is the Stadium going to get a new home?
