Seneca Rocks is one of the best-known landmarks in West Virginia. A magnificent formation of white/gray Tuscarora Sandstone,
the rocks rise nearly 900 feet above the North Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River. It is a very popular rock climbing area for those who are suitably trained and equipped.
