The most powerful waterfall in North America, and the second largest in the world (only Victoria Falls in Africa is larger). There are three waterfalls here: The huge "Horseshoe Falls" on the Canadian side, the "American Falls", and the relatively small "Bridal Veil Falls". The later two are on the New York side of the river. Collectively these three waterfalls are known as Niagara Falls.
