For the only time during my photographic opportunities during a launch, we were run off the parked Mobile Launcher Platform (MLP) at the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) only minutes before launch. From the crawlerway where we were, liftoff from the Pad was not viewable but the vehicle quickly emerged from the greenery blocking our view. So, my first photos of this launch were during the roll maneuver.
