I couldn't believe how big these little cuties are getting! They are smaller then a breadbox and larger then my shoe!

Thank you all so much for the nice comments. This was the hottest shoe I own! Wiren, you were right, it is the 50-200mm lens. That is a wonderful lens to me. It is for sure my favorite. Anywho, thanks again everyone.

This gives a whole new meaning to the concept of "imprinting" with accent on the "print" part! Very well done, Shirley. The lighting is terrific. So are the textures.

Really terrific capture, Shirley. I hope you looked inside before inserting bare foot :-o

Very cute, and phenomenal detail in the "feathers" of the small one.

Excellent shot Shirley - the lighting makes it.

This is a fantastic shot, I keep coming back to it when perusing the contest page, really great capture, what lens please? the 50-200mm I assume?, very sharp and a good moment, I like seeing animal shots especially when they are looking strangely at human items, lol.

Learning curve is what I often read on the forum, that what it is.
Very nice captured. Right moment/place and steady hand.

Holy cow the light and sharpness is really great in this shot, Shirley. Something about the tones and lighting around the chicks eyes that is just so perfect.

Can tell it is not one of my shoes - all of the geese would be laying around it passed out ;-)

Good stuff! brent

Really nice shot, the lighting is great and the subject is darn cute too!
(I mean the chicks, not the shoe!)

Alistair, I think you would love the lens. I think with the boys you would find it is really easier to catch candids of them. It's a bit heavy but, I find myself using it 80% of the time. I'm glad I have the 14-54mm too, there are times I used it.

I need to get busy and find more shoes other then my own LOL Thanks for the comments guys!

Charming Shirley... you've been making me hanker after getting the 50-200 recently.... but I've held out so far. Alistair

If the mother wouldn't have been in this shot I would have had him asking "Are you my Mommy?" I'm glad it made you smile. They were a bit afraid of the shoe at first. The Mom went up to it, head lowered to the ground. Then it must have been a nod, and all the little ones came over to see the shoe. LOL

Aaahhh :o)))
It is so nice! It brings me in mind the "Ugly duck" tale, though I don't think your shoe will become a swan! :oD
