Shot from the picnic pavilion in the park. The 1907 PRR Stone Arch bridge in the bottom of the frame, and the 1947 "high" bridge built on the new alignment that was required to get the Conemaugh line above the "high side" of the dam. This shot is on the "low side"... but the dam is maybe 1/4 mile into the background of this shot.... and the river does a U-turn within maybe 1/2 mile... and the tracks to the right go over a ridge (in a cut) and across the "high water" side of the dam... which will completely submerge the lower line (on the other side of the hill) at high water. The tunnels (a total of three!) are plugged with concrete.
