Totally Informal Transglobal Challenge "Good and Bad"

The Thursday Challenge - "GOOD & BAD"

see more Good & Bad here: http://form.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=37460

The Good:
I love my job! I work with two awesome people
That is Day in front, YES her name is Day.
In back is Stephen and myself

We work in a SCUBA store. We all love our job and we are more like family then co-workers.
I've been a certified diver since 1969. I've worked or hanged out in the store since I could walk. My Dad started the business in 1954. I've been working full time in the store since June 1976. It's been a wonderful time. I've met thousands and thousands of wonderful people and seen many life changes as people partook of this wonder sport called SCUBA diving.
The past decades could fill volumes of books with wonderful stories.
It truly has been a dream come true.

The Bad:
It's time to close a chapter in my life, well really, in OUR life.
The dive store is closing. This is like a death in the family, it really is. My brothers and sisters all grew up with the dive store in our back yard. It was one of the oldest SCUBA stores in America.
That's the Bad! the picture on the right is a proofing I was doing at 4am this morning that is now on our webpage announcing our going out of business sale.

I wish to thank ALL who have made the past years so remarkable a time in my life.
Thank you all!

Jon, I know it was not intended, but if you look at the picture, you’ll see that your dad is looking over your shoulder. Somehow I have a feeling you’ll be guided through this process ;)

Sad to hear this chapter is closing for you.

Jonathan, I wish you all the best in this transition, truly. I'm sure your pain must be as deep as your joys.

You're making me tear up - seriously. I became certified in 1997 and have only gone out a few times, but i keep up with the magazines and the awesome tales of my friends who have been fortunate enough to keep going out.
What is the website to your store? Many happy thoughts to you and your family (all of them)
Sad
