What a dramatic shot! It's eerie but also astonishing in the clarity of detail.

Thanks folks. I was shooting this blind into the dark with the 70-300 in manual focus and bracketing . I use the FL-36 with diffuser down from about 1.5m and used spot metering. I had to pull up the midtowns and drop the highlights a bit. Then the fun started.

I then walked into the web in the dark and the spider fell on me. My wife said she saw this ( Rotund) streaker running out of the dark ripping off his clothes. The good part is the camera is ok and the spider is back in the rafters in the shed.

That is some spider Collin. The low key treatment does it justice.

Oh My!!! I would immediately head the opposite direction if I ever saw one of these coming my way. It's a good thing the insect world is a world in miniscule. We wouldn't stand a chance if they were our size. Great detail and colors. Well taken.

What a great Halloween shot! Scrary Booooooo! I love that black background! I would have never thought the details would show like they do. Really neat A-1 spidey shot!

Deadly nice. Love the coloration, dark details and texture.
